Affordability

As costs continue to rise, more and more families need support, and I feel it is essential for Lemon Grove to step up and support each other as we all work so hard to afford the cost of living and keep working so hard for what we have. I envision more food distributions, more community events that prioritize sharing the resources we have so that everyone gets what they need, as well as opportunities to meet each other so that we can become a close-knit community. I would love to have events where we teach each other skills and trade skill sets to both become lifelong learners and save money we would otherwise have to spend on a service because we taught each other how to do it.

Public Works

Lemon Grove has so much to offer, but driving on our streets is very difficult. We have many streets without sidewalks. We can also use more community spaces and communication about the work that is being done in Lemon Grove. I would love to see Lemon Grove become a destination space, and the first step is to dedicate money and time to making it safe to travel around Lemon Grove. By doing this, we also keep each other safe.

Bringing us together

Lemon Grove is full of so many incredible people, organizations, and events.  I would love to create an infrastructure that allows people in the community to get to know each other better and to be able to advertise and make participation as a resident of Lemon Grove easier.  This would include incorporating technology and policies that will allow those who are not able to leave their homes to continue to participate as citizens and access support. By having closer proximity to each other,  better access to information about Lemon Grove, and awareness of the opportunities around us,  we can accomplish a lot more of our collective goals for this diverse and multifaceted city we call our home.
